How to Apply Apres Bare Gel-X® Tips

A proper application ensures long-lasting wear and that flawless natural finish.

Step-by-Step Application

1. Prep the Nail

• Cleanse and dehydrate


• Lightly etch the natural nail


• Apply Apres pH Bonder and Apres Primer (optional)

2. Size the Tip

• Fit sidewall to sidewall (no pinching)


• Etch underside using Apres Gel-X Prep®

3. Apply

• Apply Apres Extend Gel Non-Wipe and cure


• Add a bead of gel to the tip


• Apply at a 45° angle


• Flash cure, then full cure (30 seconds LED)

4. Customize

• Remove the hex handle


• Trim and shape


• 


• Etch surface with Apres Gel-X Prep®


• Then apply Apres Gel Couleur (optional) 


• Finish with Apres Top Gelcoat X or Apres Builder Top Gelcoat

Pro Tip: Keep extensions to no more than half the length of the natural nail for best durability.
