How to Remove Apres Gel-X Tips

To remove Apres Gel-X tips, you will need the following supplies:

• Acetone
• remover wraps or (cotton pads and tin foil) or Remover Clips
• a nail file or buffer
• a remover tool or scraper

Steps to remove

1. Start by filing the surface of the Gel-X tips to remove topcoat. This will help the acetone penetrate the gel more easily. This can be done with an Electric file using a 5 in 1 bit or a hand nail file.
2. Clip off the tip of the nail using a pair of nail clipper.
3. Add acetone to the and secure with the remover clips or alternatively add acetone to the cotton pad of the remover wrap and place it on top of the Gel-X tip and fold the foil around the finger.
4. Repeat this process for each nail and let them sit for around 10-20 minutes to allow the acetone to break down the gel.
5. After the soaking time is up, remove one wrap at a time and gently push off the gel using a remover tool or scraper. Be careful not to force the tip off or scrape the natural nail as it should come off easily after soaking. Repeat this for all nails. You can gently file any spots that may be left.  
6. Once all the Gel-X tips have been removed, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any remaining acetone residue.
7. Finish by filing and shaping your natural nails, apply cuticle oil to hydrate your nails and keep them healthy.
